A former tea-of-the-month, a homerun of a limited blend.

Roasted hazelnuts, roasted dandelion root + roasted chicory root.

The roasting process caramelizes the roots, bringing out deep, complex flavors so this earthy brew mimic’s coffee’s bold, rich, taste AND gives the added bonus great support for your (hardworking, detoxifying) liver, digestion, and provides a nutrient boost.

Hazel Heart Farms is a farmer collective on a mission to restore Midwest farmland with rich and regenerative local hazelnuts.  Emma, one of the farmers, sells her product at the Mill City Farmers market and often has her booth near mine.  And here’s the kismet magic...when the farmer collective cracks their hazelnuts, some shells stick and are impossible to separate from the nut pieces. This would normally be a waste product and a big loss for the collective, but Emma reached out to me, and I transformed these precious nuts into this flavorful delight. Take about a teaspoon of the tea, steep it in just boiled water for 5-10 minutes, add your warmed milk/milk alternative of choice and a dollop of maple syrup and let the swooning begin.

Contains no caffeine.

Smaller than our standard bags, approximately 8 servings per bag.

BREW INSTRUCTIONS

Pour 8 oz. of boiling water over 2 teaspoons ( 2-3 grams) of the loose-leaf tea and steep for at least 6 minutes.

When the brewing is complete, you will want to separate the botanicals from the brew - infuser baskets and teapot strainers are my personal favorites, but almost any sort of filter/strainer can do the trick.

Brew time and intensity of tea are personal. Play around with brew time and dosage to find what works for you.
