In every leaf, root and berry lies a quiet wisdom — nature’s way of restoring what the day wears down. Tea invites us to slow, to listen, to return to balance. Each cup is a ritual of nourishment and calm, connecting body and spirit to the steady rhythms of the earth.

We believe in the gentle, restorative power of plants — we honor that each person’s path to wellness is unique.

Well Rooted Teas makes no medical claims and our products are not intended to diagnose, treat or heal medical conditions. Women who are pregnant or nursing, or persons with known medical conditions, should consult their physician before taking any herbal products.

PURE BY NATURE

Our ingredients begin where the soil is rich, the air clean and the care intentional. Each leaf, root, and berry is organically grown or responsibly foraged within our region, harvested at its peak for flavor, freshness and healing potential. We partner only with farmers who share our commitment to sustainability — ensuring every blend honors both people and planet.

  • Anise Hyssop

A Minnesota wildflower with a long history of medicinal use by Native Americans to alleviate coughs and colds and known for its antibacterial properties. You can find this in the Focus and Bee Well blends.

  • Blue Cornflower

Often thought of as an unwanted weed by farmers, this striking beauty is used in herbal medicine to help restore, tone and invigorate systems in the body or to promote general health and well-being. I love the bright pop of color it brings to the Focus blend.

  • Tulsi

Also known as Holy Basil, it has been a main pillar in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Tulsi has been shown to nourish body, mind, and spirit through balancing and protecting against stress in the body, helping to bring the body back into balance when you feel like things have gone off track. It’s one of my favorite herbs and you will find it in most of my blends.

  • Elderberry

One of the most commonly used medicinal plants in the world. Packed with antioxidants it is known for a wide range of medicinal benefits including boosting the immune system. The Bee Well and Winter blends both contain this powerful berry.

  • Elderflower

Has been used in traditional medicine all over the world in many different cultures due to its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It has a lovely light floral, honey scent and flavor making it perfect for the Summer blend. It’s also an ingredient in the Relief and Bee Well blends.

  • Rosemary

A woody herb with fragrant, evergreen needle-like leaves it has been traditionally used to alleviate muscle pain and improve memory, making it a perfect match for the Focus blend. My rosemary comes from Seven Songs Organic Farm and Tangletown Gardens Farm.

  • Calendula

This bright beauty is known for it’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It brings beauty and healing to the Bee Well blend.

  • Maple

The dried, sugary sap of the maple tree is a natural sweetener that gives our Up North blend a rich, woodsy touch of sweetness. It comes to us from a gorgeous stand of maple trees just over an hour away from Minneapolis.

  • Peppermint

An herb with many uses and therapeutic applications. It is commonly used in herbal teas for its ability to soothe many stomach ailments. Calm, Focus, and Relief blends all contain peppermint.

  • Rhubarb

One of the first edibles harvested in the spring, this bright, tart beauty adds much zest and color to our Spring blend. There’s almost 1 lb of rhubarb in each bag of Spring!

  • Eastern White Pine

The needles pack in more vitamin C than an orange and are also rich in vitamin A. Native Americans have been drinking it for centuries to prevent illness and treat colds. Historians tell us Taoist priests used to drink it to slow the aging process… why not give it a try? Look for it in the Up North blend.

  • Red Clover

Ubiquitous throughout North America, this flourish of sweetness was my entry point to falling for herbs. I spent many summer afternoons laying in the grass chomping on red clover when I was just a wee thing. The red blossoms are rich with calcium, iron, and nitrogen. Bee Well blend contains loads of red clover.

  • Licorice Root

A soothing agent for digestion and as an expectorant, licorice root also adds a natural sweetness. You can find it in the Focus blend.

  • Lavender

The soothing aroma has been known to ease headaches, anxiety, and induce relaxation so it’s naturally found in the Calm blend.

  • Milky Oats

The oat tops harvested after the oats flower but before the seed hardens and becomes what we know as oatmeal. Grassy and slightly sweet, it is a nutritive tonic rich in minerals. Spring and Calm blends contain milky oats.

  • Lemongrass

A great detoxifier it has the fragrance of lemon but a lighter, more mild taste. Autumn and Spring blends both contain this bright burst of flavor.

  • Honey

Our honey comes from Ames farm in Delano, MN and Beez Kneez in Grantsburg, WI. Local, raw honey helps with seasonal allergies, has unique flavors that are lost when industrialized, and honey has lots of healing properties. It’s antimicrobial, antibacterial, high in antioxidants, helps with cough surpression, and contains many protective phytonutrients. Heavy processing in regular honey can destroy these valuable beneficial aspects.

MOMENTS STEEPED IN MEANING

Tea is more than a beverage — it’s a pause, a return to presence. Each blend invites you to slow the pace, breathe deeply and reconnect with the grounding calm of nature. Whether it’s your morning beginning or evening unwind, every cup becomes a quiet ritual of renewal.

BLENDS THAT BELONG TOGETHER

Every ingredient tells a story — of soil, season and craft. In our recipes and pairings, we bring those stories together in new ways: herbal infusions that complement meals, elevate gatherings and inspire mindful moments of connection.

Sip, savor and explore the natural harmony between flavor and wellness.
